PROJECT 1 : READING THE CONTEXT OF TRADITIONAL STREETS
This project was an assessment on the ability to read and understand the tangible and intangible attributes of traditional streets through physical and virtual site visits. The main objective is to identify the context and architectural elements and layout that gives the place its distinctive identity. The final outcome comprised of a sketch journal and a written summary of the knowledge obtained.
ASSIGNMENT : INFOGRAPHIC
This assignment is an assessment task on the knowledge and understanding of the types of vernacular and traditional architecture. Students were required to follow the standard format of an infographic and organize information on a particular type of traditional architecture and narrow it down to a selected theme.
PROJECT 2 :
RESEARCH IN ASIAN ARCHITECTURE
For this project, students were required to take in to consideration the different issues observed during the site visit from project 1 and focus on one critical issue to carry out research for potential solutions. The final project outcome is a research poster stating the problem and suggestive solutions supported by a proposal presented during the presentation seminar.
