PROJECT 1: DIAGRAMMING ARCHITECTURAL PRINCIPLES
Project Overview
Each group was assigned a project by a renowned architect and students were expected to conduct a background research on the architect and the project. Students were required to study and analyze the project and express the 'simplified idea' in the form of five analysis diagrams, five diagrammatic models and architectural drawings.

Project Reflection
This project was a great learning opportunity for students, especially when it came to the upcoming projects where it involved original designs. Students gained the basic knowledge of analyzing designs to express it in the form of simplified idea in terms of the basic components of design such as concept, context, space planning, circulation etc.

Project Overview
Tutor: Ms Fadzwin
Group Members: Samidhi Tharumila Subasinghe Arachchige 0351817
Rachel Ravina Kaur Kaher Veriah 0351270
Ruth Elizabeth Ronny Lojikim 0345172
Applying the learning outcomes from the previous project, students were required to design an introspective pavilion in groups of 3-4 members using the design principles from the previous. This project is a self-exploratory assignment that encourages students to communicate ideas and emotions by creating spatial experience and expressing relationship between structure and nature through architectural language.

Design Process
Project Reflection
This project was definitely interesting especially because it was a group project allowing students to creatively merge different ideas together. I believe, for this project, we were able to spend a good amount of time on design exploration following the unique design concepts proposed by each group member which resulted in satisfactory design outcomes. It also provided students with the opportunity to openly share and communicate their ideas among each other.
