PROJECT 03
SPACE AND SENSORY : SELF-EXPLORATION THROUGH SPACES
In project 3, students will look back at the isolation structure and further develop it to a Sensory Space, to anticipate and accommodate users’ needs and emotions. How does the user response to the design? What does it represent when you look at it at a different perspective? Are there any reoccurring elements or strong implementation of elements and principles? Was the anthropometry and ergonomic of the structure incorporated successfully? Students will have to study and explore on actual building materials,
EMOTIONAL DETOUR
Emotional imbalance is a serious issue experienced by many during the isolation period. An individual's self awareness allows him to reflect on his thoughts and emotions. As a person who's been living a busy lifestyle, prior to the pandemic, having no time for reflection, the pandemic would definitely have had a negative impact both emotionally and mentally. The suddenly "gifted" free time infact leads to random nervous breakdown due to an overwhelming flow of emotions making one feel attacked. At times like this, what is very much needed is a safe corner you can crawl into to take control. Once tranquility is gained to a certain extent one could pick himself up and move into a more open space for a breath of relief and achieve inner peace.
